For the 2024 Mathews Archery release, the Lift 29.5 and 33 models showcase significant improvements. This innovation entails a completely new bow with upgraded risers, cams, and strings. The revamped riser not only sheds weight but also minimizes vibration. The smoother cams, enhanced backwall, and increased speed further enhance the overall performance. In addition, Mathews has addressed one of the previous bow’s weaknesses by introducing a better serving for the new match string, hoping to rectify serving separation issues.
Now, let’s dive into the bow’s speed and performance. Through our testing, we utilized three different arrows: the Black Eagle Zombie Slayer (362.8 grains), the Easton Axis 5mm (424.9 grains), and the Easton FMJ 5mm (515.9 grains). Our setup included the Mathews Lift 29.5 bow at 29″ and 71.2 pounds. Here are the results.
The 362.8 grain Black Eagle Zombie Slayer averaged 317 FPS
The 424.9 grain Easton Axis 5mm averaged 295 FPS
The 515.9 grain Easton FMJ 5mm averaged 267 FPS
