You can also check the life of the strings and the cables by checking the timing marks on the cam as pictured below.
The timing marks are indicated by the orange dots. You can see both cables are running through the timing marks which indicated the string and cables may still be in great shape.
You can see that the cables are not running through the timing holes which indicate a new string set is needed.
